I've found this picture on a web site by accident and wanted to share it here because this is exactly how I spend my time at home these days. When I say home, I mean my parents' home where I am getting spoiled nowadays :)
Picture me like this boy but I am also constantly getting fed by my mom. I guess, there is nothing wrong to be a child once in a while. Actually I might even start reading my favourite books from my childhood.
Okay, maybe not :)

Holiday, this is just the beginning..
I left home before 5am to catch my flight at 8:25am from the City Airport.
(Notes to Future Self: leave at 6am not 5!!)
I like this airport, it is small or shall i call it compact instead. And there is free internet which is even easier to connect than Starbucks' one. It is still not as convenient as Heathrow is for me but still this one is also quite easy to reach. Well, when i say convinient I mean a 1hour journey and 2tube lines + DLR. Still not bad at all. The only problem I had on the way to the airport, me trying very hard not to fall asleep and miss the station. For this see the notes for the future self above...
I used my Oyster card all the way here but just remembered that I have never checked out and found myself in the airport. Hmmm, that is actually a very good question that I need to find the answer now, otherwise I can only check out in Zurich, Ugh!!
And now, Burcu is dissapperaing in the dark. And all you can hear is her sleepy and tired voice "Excuse me Sir, where can I check out my Oyster card?"
Hehe he hehe

Quick Update on the Foot
This morning I went to my second post-op appointment and my doctor said my foot almost fully healed. He said I could get rid of the surgical shoe now which actually I did a week ago :)
He said am much better comparing to his other patients who also had the operation at the same week with me. Ha ha! Suck it, you other patients I win!!! Uhhmm I mean I hope we all will be happy and super healthy altogether. :-P :-)
To be honest, I actually still have a lump on the side of my foot but the doctor said it is only swelling. And it will apparently take quite some time to get rid of the whole swelling but I am still happy with the result. At least now I can walk in the normal shoes, slower but stronger :)

Drawing Class after months
I went to the drawing class last night after a looong time and I was absolutely rubbish. I can only upload one of the pictures that I drew last night. Don't know why but I didn't feel like drawing at all and was more into looking around and checking other people's drawings. I will now look at my other pictures which are not very promising and feel ashamed to give myself a lesson then next time hopefully I will be more into it.
Until next time!

Drawing from the mirror
Finally I drew myself from the mirror for the first time. Despite what I thought, it was not too scary and took only 20 minutes. I think for the first try, it did't come out too bad in the end, although that chin is not mine. :)

Self Portrait #2
More drawing from my own photograph.
I ruined it with my hand a bit while i was doing the last adjustments on the eyes. Although I can still see the improvements comparing to my old drawings.
Until next time,

Sunday Sketching
I drew this from a very blurry photo in half an hour. It is not great obviously but not too bad either.

I am a party animal!
Confession: I used that title to get your attention but unfortunately that is a lie at least for tonight.
The truth: It is a Friday night and I am already in my bed and looking at this screen with only one of my eyes. (perhaps, the other one fell asleep long ago because even if I tried hard, could't manage to open it)
When I was young which means last year, I was looking forward to Fridays to go out. Don't know what exactly happened this year but either on Friday or Saturday I started staying in and watching silly youtube videos while scratching my belly (which is a quite flat and tanned belly, dont think otherwise please! :P) So what was I saying.. I guess, I am getting old. :(
I called my father today and told him that I was so sad because of getting old. Bless him, he knows me well so he asked me what was happened calmly. I said "Dad, do you reckon those days I was begging you to stay out for another hour on the phone?". He said he still remembers those unfortunate days :)). I tried to ignore that criticism and continued to prove my theory of me getting old. I said, "Dad, can you believe that now you don't give a darn if I am out partying all night long or not but now I am too tired to go out". He laughed (I think he was extremely happy, well that is a good thing I guess :) ) and claimed that "I am not too tired to go out but I am tired of going out". He said, for me staying in is kind of a cool thing to do because it is different than what I usually do. Well what can I say, this man knows me so it must be true! :)
Well, actually he is right because I have a good excuse for today's laziness, I have just remembered.
Confession #2: I was out last night, went to the bed past 1am and woke up at past 6am and was on the tube at 7:30, went to my meetings in the city while jumping on my one foot.
Finally,
Conclusion: I am not old! (Hah!)
Yes, good call, good job!
Good night! :)

Sunday Handcraft
We -as a bunch of late 20s, early 30s year old people - got together this Sunday and painted Easter eggs. Okay, we might not be the coolest people ever but it was fun. The funniest part was, we were drinking quite a lot and listening to 80s Rock Music on the radio.
You may see some nice and appropriate eggs in the picture below but the real outcome of the day was more different as, two sheep back to back and the one at the back was a naughty naughty sheep! A Hawaiian dancer looks like anything but a Hawaiian dancer, a Swiss flag (dont have any clue why), a Christmas ornament (that was me, i am still confused with all these new holidays I guess :) )
Oh btw, in the picture that half green painted egg was mine too. Probably I was already bored :) Hehe.
Until next time!

Let's insult each other and enjoy it!
I had a first big night out last night since the surgery and I admit it it was not the smartest thing I have ever done. I met an old co-worker in the office on Friday who came to London for couple of days. He said he was going for a dinner with some friends and asked me to join them. So far everything was just fine by the time I heard the name of the restaurant. I am not giving the name here since most of you would recognise it but it is a very well known restaurant bar with a nice roof terrace in the West End. The problem about this place, everybody loves it but I don't.
I guess I have been here like 5 or 6 times and each time I go I just get so annoyed by the super arrogant waiters and the restaurant manager(s). They have some rules are much stricter than the constitution. They treat you terribly as you were already so blessed of being able to be in that cocky restaurant and you just get the worst treatment and finally you spend the whole money you have got in your wallet, usually even more...
As if this was not enough, one of us in the group was also not the most friendly person so she was treating the waiters terribly as well. I don't know what was the worst last night really, the idiotic arrogance by the restaurant people or our "friend"s rude attitude. The funny thing is nobody seemed really annoyed apart from me so everyone was perfectly okay with what was happening. The both sides kept insulting each other all night long and it was just fine! Unbelievable!
After this place, we went to a club in South Kensington. Okay, this was my fault. I shouldn't have gone after the previous experience. But it was already too late for the tube and I told myself how worse could it get? Oh apparently, it could get pretty worse :))
We came to this club and at the entrance these FBI agent looking people asked us how many we were. We said 3 and the agent said we needed to get a table for 300 quid!!!! I loved (!) the attitude like " you little people you better have money to enter". Haha. And this amount didn't even include the drinks. I started laughing and declared to my insane friends that I was not going to pay that sh*t which was exactly at the same time when they declared to me that that amount was perfectly fine for them. What the ...? Am I really living on a different planet? I said oh well, goodbye then and after a couple of minutes I found myself inside of the club. Well here I was standing in the dark and thinking what else I could do with 300 quid. I could buy 2 flight tickets to Istanbul. I could go somewhere really nice on Easter Break or I could simply keep it in my pocket. Darn!
They ordered a bottle of champagne and the place closed like after an hour :) Sweet! So the bill arrived which was 420 quid and I was going to have a heart attack. We didn't even dance. People were just checking out each other. And our posh friend said that the bill was okay and she paid it. Of course we wanted to contribute but she said it was not a big amount to bother herself to divide.. Wow! Respect!
I mean it wouldn't really kill me to pay that money either but the thing that I don't understand is, why would I want to pay that amount for something really not special. I mean I could't see any difference between this club or any other club that we could have gone with a 20 quid entrance fee. Oh no there is one difference which is you actually get treated more badly in these places. Some people are just insane or I am just being boring. Both has a good chance to be true. Oh well..

Shitty Flats (2 words)

Well, congrats to me! I hope things will be even more fun from now on since I am officially 1 year long experienced ;-)

This and that and quick update.
Not much is going on these days but giving a quick update is always good.
* The Foot:
It is getting better and better everyday, I kind of started giving my weight on it recently. And the hammer toe joint is getting more and more flexible now. All is good and still recovering well here.
* The Work:
It is so busy these days, I give a training every day to a different partner plus so much other daily work pushes me har but I like it. At least I am still enjoying to be back and being able to function again.
* The Drawing:
I have missed so many classes since I didn't dare to go all the way to Camden for the last couple of weeks but this week I am planning to go. Fingers crossed!! Apart from the class I still draw at home and the only thing I am missing is a nude model like we usually have at the class. (No this is not an invitation! hehehehe :-) )
* This and that and etc.:
A good friend of mine has just moved to my neighbourhood and it feels great to have a friend just minutes away on foot. I like that. :-)
People who know me already would know it well that I am such a coward when it comes to the horror movies. Don't get me wrong, I won't tell you I have started watching horror movies, nope!
But I like crime TV shows as, CSI, Cold Case, Without a Trace, Behzat C (:-))
Yesterday night I watched 4 Cold Case episodes and then had to take a shower later. That shower was much shorter than I planned and at least one of my eyes was open to check around till it get burnt by shampoo. Oh and of course I also had my ipad playing music in the bathroom. Luckily it is still working despite all that steam. And after I survived my thrilling shower adventure of course I continued watching Cold Case. Eventually I don't remember how many times I was killed in my dream last night. Why can't simply see myself as the detective instead of being a victim in my dreams. Blah! When the alarm clock woke me up this morning, for the first time I was so happy that I didn't have to go back to sleep :) That didn't feel good but it was also a sick kind of fun :)
I hate when it is windy these days. There is this shop below my flat and they had their big chunky sign hanging right next to my bedroom window. No need to say it is all rotten and it swings and swings and swings and swings all night long! Especially when you have nightmares caused by Cold Case, this rotten swinging is not helping at all. I am not afraid of the noise, no it s not that. The thing is when I am already asleep it just provides a nice horror movie background voice and when the wind gets stronger, it wakes me up.
Rain, snow, heat wave!! You guys are nothing but the wind! The wind, I don't like you! or I simply don't like that stupid rotten sign! :)

Welcoming the Spring :)
I was born as an outgoing person. Since the time I learnt how to walk, I have been just finding excuses to go out :) That is why winter has never been my favourite season.
When I was a child I was always playing outside all the time but of course during the winter, my mama did't let me go out. If she did, I am so sure I would still go out and play till I die but smart of her, she was not letting me do that. :)
So winter was sad, winter meant a whole count down for the good days. That is why I guess, (dont even remember how old I was) I decided to celebrate the 1st of March every year which is the first day of the Spring. Every year I was lighting a candle and singing a song like "hosgeldin bahar, yasasin bahar, hos geldin bahaaaaar, lalalalalalala" so basically something like "Spring, welcome to you! Long live Spring, Welcome to you! lalallala". Okay not the best song ever but still tradition is tradition! Please show some respect here :)
Now, you might expect me to say something like "hahaha such a silly child I was" well.. Wrong! The truth is I am still silly so I celebrated the 1st day of the Spring today. I lit a candle and I sang my song and welcomed the Spring.
I love you Spring and I know you have got feelings for me too ;-)
Welcome to you!
