Ho Ho Ho - La la laaaa

Hi All,

It's been a while since the last post but as you all know it is quite busy these days. Let me sum up what I've been up to for the the last 3 weeks.
work, xmas drinks, work, pain on my knee, xmas drinks, secret santa, work, drinks (for Christmas), meet new people, meet some Australians (nice!!), Xmas cards, Xmas presents, my super-fancy new Ipad (sweet!!), friends over, my cousin's engagement (yaay!), some major pain on my knee, some more drinks, ho ho ho...Now I guess I know why people like this season a lot, it is so much fun!!

I had some friends over for Xmas dinner last night. My idea was to prepare a proper British Xmas Dinner but my friends asked me to cook something Turkish. Well not only because I cooked, but everything was so delicious. You cant see everything on the picture but still see below :)

The only British dish was Christmas Pudding that we had last night. And it was so yummy!

Yummy and quite filling! After all this drinking and overeating period, we all need to work out to lose what we gain. My pilates teacher says over Christmas average weight people gain is 5 Pounds and you could only lose 2 afterwards. Ouch!

In my case I ve got a bad bad pain on my right knee these days which obstructs me from doing even my daily routines. This pain suddenly started last week after my pilates class. It was just bit annoying and last just 2 days and I didn't take it any seriously. This week after the class, it was back and much much worse. Yesterday, over my Xmas Dinner, I was literally limping and last night the pain woke me up twice. Thanks to my left leg I jumped on it and went to Boots to get the most powerful pain killer pills and jell they had. Now I am feeling okay although a bit numb after taking 3 pain killers at once. Happy days!!! :)))

Anyways, let's not get distracted by an unpleasant topic and continue talking about the fun part of the season. I have been off since Friday and will be off till the 3rd of January. Yaaaaay! Hopefully, I will feel better from now on and enjoy my time off in London. This year, despite the last years, I chose to stay around and just relax, spend some time with my friends, watch movies, explore the city since I am actually still quite new in London. And of course, getting ready for the big day, NYE!!

Every December, we make some bullshit promises about the coming year and we pretty much never make them happen. Like, loosing weight, starting a super very cool hobby, learning another language, getting a new boyfriend, etc. I am sure, you expect me to say, this year I won't do that. Bullshit! Of course I will hahaha.. Let me make my new year resolution plan. And whenever anything else comes to my mind, I will come back and update the list :)

--- My Super Cool 2012 To Do List --
* Get a new hobby! (I am actually already starting a very cool drawing class this week, super excited about that!)
* Learn another language! (well, by considering how terrible I am at learning foreign languages, this is a big challenge but I've already taken a step and downloaded 3 French applications on my super fancy Ipad, Je crois, je vais parler en Francais jusqu'en Decembre 2012. ha ha!)
* Get a new boyfriend! (:):P)
* Lose weight (well, I am much slimmer than last year, so I can actually postpone this little "to do" for a while this year.)
* Travel more! (After my coming surgery in February I will need to stick around in London for a while but when I feel healthy enough, I will go and complete some visit-dos that I've been postponing for ages.)
* Sing more and make it happen! (I've got some cheeky plans about this which I cannot tell now. to be continued...! :) )
* Go for a long Summer holiday. (I have realised that I havent gone to a proper beach holiday for 3 years, my skin is way too pale to be Mediterranean now :) )
* Keep telling your parents how much you love them. ( I almost do it every day, I love them and I believe they know it but I will keep doing it)

I think my list is it for now but I might add some other things later.

I count on this year, I always like the even numbers and also 2 is my lucky number! :) 2012, bring us some goodies please. Appreciate that in advance. :)

Happy Holidays, Happy New Year!
Burcu xx
